Dr. Jarek Wiazowski, Software Training Specialist
 Dr. Jarek Wiazowski received his doctorate in Applied Linguistics with a dissertation on Application of Computer Assisted Communication to Teaching English as a Foreign Language and Social Rehabilitation to the Blind. He also obtained an education in the Vision Program from the University of Louisville and Special Education from Silver Lake College. Jarek has published numerous articles for Closing the Gap Journal, The Monitor, and other international publications.
Jarek has had a wide range of experience working with students of all types of disabilities, including blindness, low vision, learning and cognitive challenges, mobility impairments, motor delays, emotional disorders, autism and developmental delays, For the last nine years, Jarek has provided accommodations and training which make a difference in clients’ lives.
Jarek’s training expertise includes:
- OCR (Optical Character Recognition) Software including Kurzweil 1000 and OpenBook.
- Screen Reading & Magnification Software including JAWS, MAGic, WindowEyes and ZoomText.
- Scan, Read & Studying Software including Kurzweil 3000, Read&Write Gold, Premier, and WYNN.
- Dictation Software such as Dragon NaturallySpeaking.
