Choice of Windows or Mac
The Web License Edition of Kurzweil 3000 makes no distinction with regards to the installed client software. Therefore, customers operating in dual platform environments can install whichever client they require and share the same licenses. While there are some functional differences between the Macintosh and Windows Editions of Kurzweil 3000, the core reading, writing, and study skills functions are the same. User preferences are maintained for each platform, meaning the learner always interacts with Kurzweil 3000 within their own customized interface.
Variety of Licensing Options
Kurzweil 3000 Web License Editions are sold in per user, subscription - based models. User packs are available in 2, 10 and 30 user options. Building Licenses allow for complete, unlimited use of Kurzweil 3000 by any number of enrolled students or teachers at a specific location. Discounts are available for multi-building and multi-year subscriptions.
Universal Library (UL)
Presently, the web‐based UL is only available to customers using Kurzweil 3000 for Windows or firefly. Combining Web License’s file acquisition capabilities with the new, web‐based firefly product provides the greatest level of support to all learners from high to low incidence needs. UL makes files available anywhere Kurzweil 3000 and/or Firefly user and Internet connection exist. Share, reuse, and distribute documents and curriculum across users, schools, districts and beyond.
